Our 3-step process for helping you achieve your goals

Comprehensive Assessment to get to the Root Cause

Instead of just addressing your symptoms, at Stagg Performance PT our therapists conduct an in-depth assessment to identify the underlying cause of whatever problem you may have. This could involve looking at postural imbalances, movement patterns, muscle weaknesses, or lifestyle factors contributing to the issue. They may also use diagnostic tools such as handheld dynamometer, functional movement screens or posture/gait analysis.

Precise Pain Elimination and Functional Restoration

Once the root cause is identified, the treatment is focused on both eliminating pain and addressing the underlying dysfunction. This may involve a combination of manual therapy techniques to reduce tension/pain, corrective exercises to strengthen weak muscles or improve mobility, and education on how to avoid movements or habits that are contributing to your problem. Techniques like dry-needling, myofascial release, cupping or specific strengthening/stabilization exercises can be used to directly address pain and dysfunction.

Goal-Orientated Functional Training

After pain relief, we move more into helping you achieve your broader functional or performance goals, whether they involve returning to a sport, improving work performance, or simply getting back to daily activities without discomfort. This phase focuses on improving overall strength, flexibility, and endurance, while also educating you on the long-term strategies to prevent future injuries. It is highly personalized, aligning therapy outcomes with your personal or professional objectives.

This holistic approach ensures that physical therapy not only resolves pain but empowers you to achieve lasting, functional improvements.

what our patients say

I’ve been to a lot of practitioners for neck and back pain over the years, and Brianna Stagg has consistently provided outstanding and effective physical therapy for as long as I’ve been in her care. I first saw Brianna during a bout of vertigo and her evaluation and home exercise assignments were thorough, clear and had me feeling better fast! During that process, Brianna observed and evaluated my long-term neck and back issues, and we began a journey of unraveling and addressing the root causes of my discomfort. When I was side-tracked after a car accident, Brianna adjusted the treatments and exercises and brought me back to a place of strength and the ability to take on daily tasks without pain. Her deep knowledge and broad expertise have allowed Brianna to support me with many aspects of healing, with typical PT exercises and stretches, and beyond, including among other things breath work and mindfulness practices.
Early on in our work together, Brianna asked me about my goals, and I responded that I wanted to be able to dance at my son’s wedding and walk my dogs without pain. She got me there. Whenever I’d get down or frustrated, Brianna calmly stayed positive and encouraging while gently but firmly reminding me that my recovery is largely up to me sticking with the program and consistently doing my work. Every day, every week, I am inspired to stay the course, and knowing I will be seeing Brianna regularly keeps me honest.
I started working with Brianna before the pandemic and so we have worked in person and remotely and it’s all been a very healing process for me. There have been times when Brianna has given me the confidence to continue to build strength and heal on my own; and she has always openly welcomed me back when I stumbled or needed new or different care.
In addition to all of this, Brianna is a delightful person. We have shared so much over the years. We’ve laughed a lot. I look forward to every session with her. I am so grateful for all of it and I cannot recommend Brianna more highly.

I have been working with Brianna for several years as my physical therapist. There isn’t anyone else I’d rather work with and that’s saying something as I’ve seen upwards of 20 different physical therapists over my lifetime. Her clinical skills are bar none as a diagnostician. There have been times where she’s gotten an injury diagnosis right and the orthos have gotten it wrong until imaging comes out to vindicate DPT Stagg’s initial diagnosis. I have had a complex knee injury history having had 5 different knee surgeries amongst a whole host of other injuries over the years. What keeps me confident in selecting Bri as my PT is that she always develops a sound treatment plan for anything I’m experiencing, a specific exercise program tailored to address my needs and help keep me out of her office, but most importantly she aligns with my goals (whatever they are) as the patient and has never deterred me from pursuing my hobbies and interests. I’ve had some of the best orthos in the world out of Boston tell me to my Face I’d never be able to run again or extreme ski again after undergoing several operations. When I brought this to DPT Stagg’s attention, she let me know we would develop a plan to get me to the places, interests and hobbies I wanted to pursue and that’s exactly what has happened over all of these years. I’ve done more physically in the last couple years than I ever did before I even had those operations, and I owe it to DPT Stagg! Thank you, Bri!

I have worked with Bree for years for different injuries and have found her to be a delightful and incredible physical therapist.
She is well respected by each physician I have seen, for her knowledge and talent within the physical therapy and athletic performance fields.
She is attentive, kind, and the most knowledgeable. I continue to see her, because I get better with her, and I feel seen by her. Sometimes we need our practitioners to listen to us and help guide us to healing. Bree has been this for me, a fair and professional sounding board.
Bree is a rare gem, and I highly recommend her.
